While these Gel-Kayano 29s do not provide nearly the stability / support of my two previous Asics stability running shoes, they are much more well cushioned, offering great comfort when I start out on the road, but I've noticed that my feet start to feel tired / fatigued / sore after only four or five miles.

The Kayano provides a balanced cushioning. Whereas the Lite is balanced but leans slightly to the plush side of balanced. There is an immediate bounce felt when on, this continues on runs in them. The wider base provides stability where needed. The maiden voyage of the Kayano Lite 3s was a 5 mile hilly route.The fit and size were excellent. This Gel Kayano 27 fits a bit differently than the 26. There is support along the side of the foot at the arch.It is very noticeable when you first wear the shoe. There is still excellent cushioning.
